Learning
I am finding out that it is not easy to find the value of these old cookbooks. there are a couple good sites (they never seem to have the books i have) and i have found a couple of good books, with the bibliographies that should lead to more good books. i will post covers of books and see where it leads. if anyone has any info on where to find the value of old books (cookbooks in particular).
i have information on these books, but i wanted to show them. i had so much fun looking through these and reading the recipes and the fun Michigan facts.

Meal Planning Guide January 1944
Here is the cover of the first book i am scanning. These were monthly magazine of recipes and menus to help the homemaker make the best of rationing and using their points. Some very good tips, especially if you are short on $$.
Welcome!
Hi all! I started this blog to remember my grandma. She was an avid cookbook collector and when she passed i inherited ALL her cookbooks. There are So many here, some dating before WWII. I will never be able to make something out of every book, but i also cannot part with the collection. actually i have been adding to it! i want to share what i have been given, help those in a search for that one recipe, and maybe help with the actual making of the recipes themselves. i really just want to spend sometime with a hobby my grandma loved, it makes me feel as though she is right here with me. if you have any questions or requests please contact me!
